Broad Oak in East Sussex Village Guide

T.W.G. Eady

I was trying to find out some information about T.W.G. Eady. Barklye Cottage, Broad Oak.

From information that I have it would have been in 1959, which is that date in the records I have that he obtained the steam roller that I now own.

Any information that anyone has would be most grateful.

Nick

Hello, he was my Father, and I lived at Barklye Cottage when I was a child. I remember the steam roller, also a portable steam engine ( threshing?) that he used to have. He sold the roller to you when they decided to move – up to Scotland, eventually.
Is there anything in particular that you wanted to know? I chanced upon this website whilst doing some family tree research!
    Best wishes

Hello, that is amazing to hear that, I didnt think I would hear anything back let alone something like that.
I bouth the roller back in 2008 from a man called Mr Lillywhite.
You dont happen to have any pictures of the roller, and maybe your portable engine, would be interested to see.

I will have a look and if so, will send them. We have got a lot of my Father’s old photos so hopefully we can come up with something

Sorry, hadn’t forgotten, just got sidetracked by other things. Main problem is locating the photo album which I think should contain something of interest.
